Employees receive comprehensive benefits starting on day one that include health insurance, 401(k) matching, bonuses and company stock awards.
We pay our fulfillment center employees 30% more than traditional retail stores. Over the course of the year, on average, nearly 90 percent of employees in our fulfillment centers are regular, full-time employees. Seasonal employees help us to manage the variations we see in customer demand, such as during the busy holiday shopping periodScroll Down
At Amazon, we like to pioneer and we like to invent. Whether it’s bringing in new technology or asking our employees to tell us how to do better, we focus on continually improving.
Every year, we hold more than hundreds of activities where employees engaged in making processes better in their building.Scroll Down
After employees in our fulfillment centers have been employed by Amazon for as little as one continuous year, Amazon’s Career Choice Program will pre-pay 95% of tuition and fees for associates to earn certificates and associate degrees in high-demand occupations, regardless of whether the skills are relevant to a career at Amazon. So far, more than 10,000 employees have participated in Amazon’s Career Choice program, from ten different countries.
Amazon’s first Career Choice graduate is now a nurse in her local community.
Employees in our fulfillment centers also receive the same benefits as corporate employees, including robust paid maternity and parental leave options.Scroll Down
At Amazon, we believe in being involved in our community—from the donations we give directly to tens of thousands of nonprofits across the United States and Canada through AmazonSmile and our direct donations. We support local and national nonprofits with cash and product donations, and we will continue to donate across the United States over the coming years.
Amazon actively recruits U.S. veterans. In the U.S., Amazon currently employs more than 10,000 veterans and military spouses, and plans to hire and train an additional 25,000 veterans and military spouses by 2021.
Amazon has been named a top military employer by G.I. Jobs magazine—for both veterans and military spouses.
We continue to hire full-time employees. From the moment you place an order to the moment it’s in your hands, the Amazon Fulfillment Associate is at the heart of what Amazon does. It’s the combined energy of powerful technology and many hands working together to bring that order to you.Scroll Down
